Good Evening Everyone,

This message will cover a lot of information for all teams and encompass multiple topics; Schedule/App  -  New Field Location  -  Teams/Recruiting  -  Eye Protection (Goggles & Headgear) & Glasses  -  Goalie Chest Guard -  Training at Finch Creek - please read through it all.

**Schedule/App - We wanted to reach out and let you know our scheduling meeting went well and we will soon be adding the practice and game schedules to the website calendar which will automatically populate into the individual team calendars on the app.  The schedules may change as we confirm dates and work with the school on field availability.

Normally we do not schedule any games before or during Spring Break.  However, with the changes in the school times, changes in field location and Spring Break being later, we were limited on availability.  We understand some of the girls will not be able to attend some dates, and we apologize for that.

We will be using the SportsEngine App this year.  We require that at least one parent/guardian down load it.  The app will have the entire schedule, the roster and availability to send out messages for any last minute changes.

**New Field Location – The High School is in the works to build a new multipurpose stadium between the High School and East Middle School.  The Admin Field that the girls have had their practices and games at in the past is no longer available.  The High School will be making two lacrosse fields and one rugby field in the Pond.  The Pond is the large area where the football team practices, located on the southeast corner of the High School property.  The corner of Cumberland and Monument Streets.

**Teams/Recruiting – My role has shifted into an Administrator position, though I will be helping with the teams. I would like to thank the coaches for volunteering their time to help our daughters continue to learn more about this fun and exciting sport:
14U – Charlie Dawes & Joseph Terry
12U – Frankie Fehsenfeld & Joe Leo
10U – Mike Farrier
Goalie Coach – George Bullock

Our club would like to ask for your help recruiting more players through your social media, neighborhood pages, church groups and school groups if possible.  We reach out through our social media and through the schools, though every bit helps.

Our current numbers are as follows: 14U – 28 registered, 12U – 3 registered & 10U – 2 registered.  Both the 10U & 12U teams will field 8 players at a time and play on a cross field.  We really need help recruiting the younger girls.
The 14U team will field 12 players at a time on a full field.  At 28 we will have a large team, we had 25 last year.  For a comparison, this year the High School teams will roster 30 players. With 28 players we do not have enough to split into two teams and will not be doing that at this time.  Should we get more 14U players registered, we will discuss that.

**Eye Protection (Goggles & Headgear) – Effective January 1, 2020 all eye protection has to be SEI certified.  More information is available here: https://www.uslacrosse.org/safety/equipment/approved-eyewear-list.
In short, there is a specific list of approved brands/models of goggles and headgear (helmets) that can be worn this year.  Next year they all will have to have the SEI logo stamped on them.  If you are purchasing new eyewear or are unsure if your daughters is correct, follow the link to the list.

**Glasses – From what we were told at the IYLA rules meeting, none of the approved goggles will fit over glasses.  The large clear plastic ones are no longer approved.  If your daughter has glasses, she will either have to wear contacts or an approved helmet.

**Goalie Chest Guard – If you are looking to purchase a chest protector for the goalie position, beginning in January 2021, US Lacrosse boys’ and girls’ youth field lacrosse rules will require that all goalie chest protectors must meet the NOCSAE performance standard ND200 in order to be deemed legal for play. https://www.uslacrosse.org/blog/us-lacrosse-approves-rule-change-to-enhance-heart-protection-for-athletes.

If you have current gear, it will need to be replaced for the 2021 season and if you are looking to purchase gear this year, please look for equipment that matches the proper standards.

**Local Training at Finch Creek – There will be a stick clinic at Finch Creek organized by Indy United.  This will cost $100 and is optional.  There will be four sessions taught by Indianapolis area Girls High School Coaches and players, including Noblesville HS Coach Veronica. The information will be posted on our social media pages and you can register at www.indylacrosseclub.com.

That was a lot of information at one time. Thank you for reviewing it all. Should you have any questions, please let us know.
